Most people don't connect the two Christmas classics, but upon closer inspection, It's a Wonderful Life is a very clever inversion of Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
In a sea of adaptations, this beloved film created by Frank Capra just after World War II, and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, may be the only original works inspired by the Dickens novella.
