Scientists have Found a Way to Make Teleportation Work. So to be clear, by teleportation we mean the instant transport of an object over a distance. Right now the world record for teleportation is held by Chinese scientists. They teleported 1 atom over a distance of 1,200 kilometers from the ground up to a satellite. Here’s how they did it So they first measured the atom's exact properties. And cuz of the laws of quantum physics, this actually causes the atom to lose those properties. Meaning the atom is effectively destroyed. But now the scientists can beam the information to the satellite. Then onboard the satellite, an atom in the exact same state can be created.
