Jay Leno is setting the record straight about his recent accident. In an exclusive sneak peak at “Cars, Coffee and Comedy” on “Spikes Car Radio” YouTube, the TV icon shuts down conspiracy theories about why he sported an eye patch, arm brace and a bruise covering half his face last month. “There are conspiracy theories that you had a gambling debt. Do you gamble?” host Spike Feresten asked the comedian. “No, never gambled in my life,” Jay responded. His clarification comes a month after Jay sported an eye patch, arm brace and a bruise on his face while stepping out in Beverly Hills, telling multiple outlets including Inside Edition on Nov. 18 that he’d hit multiple rocks while tumbling down a 60-foot hill. Jay provided more details about the accident with his signature sense of humor. “As I’m falling, I see these two elderly ladies, one of them goes ‘That looks like Jay Leno falling down the hill,’” he recalled. When the 74-year-old spoke to reporters in Los Angeles in November, he confirmed he’d fractured his wrist and lost a fingernail in the fall. The incident comes after Jay suffered third-degree burns in a car fire at his garage in November 2022. Two months later, he also broke his collarbone, ribs and kneecaps in a motorcycle crash.
