Liz Truss: The Left is outsourcing power held by elected politicians to elite technocrats

Former United Kingdom Prime Minister Liz Truss says the far-left ideology that began in higher education institutions has seeped into Western governments. “What we’ve seen in both of our countries is power that used to sit in the hands of democratically elected politicians have been outsourced to so-called independent agencies. And technocrats have been taking the decisions that politicians should be taking,” she says. “And they don’t agree with the vast majority of people. They believe in big immigration, high taxes, big government.”
