Suspect in CEO Killing Was Ivy Leaguer With Anticapitalist Leaning

Luigi Mangione, a 26-year-old Ivy League graduate and former valedictorian, was arrested at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania after a week-long manhunt.

Mangione is suspected of murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in a targeted attack in Manhattan.

Once a promising student, Mangione harbored anti-corporate views, chronicled online, and suffered from chronic back pain that affected his life.

Police found a ghost gun, silencer, and anti-corporate writings in his possession.

Former friends and family described him as once likable but recently estranged and increasingly withdrawn, the Wall Street Journal has reported.
