Info from Licensor: "Driving home from Apollo bay in November at around 10pm. I went round a bend and a baby koala was sitting in my lane!! I swerved not to hit her. I then reversed back behind her and put my hazards on so she didn’t get hit. I tooted but she wouldn’t move. Bless her. Koalas when weaned stay alone. They don’t like to be around any other koalas and wild koalas you don’t touch. But she was not moving and when I get out the car she just looked at me all dazed. I was able to check her over and noticed her front leg was hurt. She licked me and nibbled my jeans as she was so hungry and thirsty, guessing because she couldn’t go far let alone climb a tree and Koalas live purely on gum leaves. That’s where they get their food and water. I managed to get her off the road and went on a trek to find a gum tree. She had wandered so far from them, bless her. She followed me. She nibbled my pants and tried to climb me. She kept wanting to go on the road so I managed to keep her in the grass and feed her. Another lady pulled up and had phone service so called wildlife rescue. The little darling ate and then started nodding off. Many would just leave her or run her over. She managed to get back under the guard rail."
