Sudanese Airstrike on North Darfur Kills over 100 People | Vantage with Palki Sharma

A Sudanese military airstrike on a market in North Darfur killed more than 100 people on December 9. Several other people were injured. The Sudanese military denied carrying out the attack. As per Sudan's Lawyers' Group the airstrike hit Kabkabiya, a town situated near El-Fasher. "The airstrike took place on the town's weekly market day, where residents from various nearby villages had gathered to shop, resulting in the death of more than 100 people and injury of hundreds, including women and children," Sudan's Lawyers' Group said in a statement to the local media. The on-going war between Sudanese army and paramilitary forces has proven to be deadly as thousands have been killed and millions have been displaced.
