Today we're going to show you how to make the Brown Derby cocktail, an old classic that is deep in the archives of some books. You'll find the alternative name in some old books called De Rigueur.

This is a potent little cocktail using 100 proof bourbon, you can pick your bourbon for this, but the honey mix combined with the bourbon and grapefruit make it simple yet strong. There is just enough juice to office the straight bourbon and a honey sweetness to try to balance it.

The grapefruit bite may climb out, but the bourbon itself is got a lot going on as well.

Brown Derby
- 2 oz bourbon
- 1 oz grapefruit juice
- 1/2 oz honey syrup (honey mixed with water)
