Chris Evans Returns to Marvel | Studio is Desperate for the Glory Days

Marvel made the announcement that Chris Evans will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, MCU, in the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday.

The actor got his start in the MCU as Steve Rogers aka Captain America, but he had since left the franchise. Evens did however return in a cameo role in Deadpool & Wolverine playing Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch; reprising his Marvel role from the early 2000s before the MCU began. It’s unclear whether he will be playing Captain America again as a variant from a different multiverse or some other role. Robert Downey Jr. will also be returning to the MCU in Avengers: Doomsday, but this time as Doctor Doom instead of Tony Stark.
