The Tale of the Two Cats and the Monkey
Once upon a time, in a bustling village, lived two cats who were the best of friends. One day, they stumbled upon a delicious-looking piece of bread. Eager to share it, they divided it into two parts, but one piece was slightly larger than the other.
A disagreement arose, with each cat claiming the larger piece as their own. Their friendly banter soon turned into a heated argument. As their voices grew louder, a mischievous monkey, perched on a nearby tree, overheard their quarrel.
Seeing an opportunity, the monkey swung down from the tree and offered to settle the dispute. The cats, desperate for a solution, agreed. The monkey took the bread and began to divide it, carefully examining each piece.
However, each time he tried to make the pieces equal, he would take a bite from the larger one, claiming it was still too big. As he continued this process, the pieces of bread grew smaller and smaller, until finally, there was nothing left.
The monkey, satisfied with his work, sat back and enjoyed the remnants of the bread, while the two cats were left hungry and regretful. The monkey had cleverly exploited their disagreement, turning their conflict into his own feast.
Moral of the Story:
* Disputes can be exploited: When people argue, others may take advantage of the situation.
* Resolve conflicts peacefully: It's better to find a peaceful solution than to let a disagreement escalate.
* Beware of those who offer help: Sometimes, those who offer to help may have ulterior motives.
