Checking Compost Temperature

I’ve been trying to get my compost good and active and it’s finally starting to heat up. When I went to stir it it was steaming so I took its temperature. This compost had a bed of sticks. Then the rest is mostly leaves, grass and chicken manure w/bedding. Also some cardboard and other household/veggie scrap compostables in a very small ratio.
