Syrian Rebels Claim to "Free" Damascus Amid Reports of Bashar al-Assad Fleeing the Capital

Syrian rebel forces, led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), claim to have seized the capital, Damascus, declaring it "free of Assad." President Bashar al-Assad has reportedly fled to an unknown location. Rebels announced the end of "13 years of crimes and tyranny," with thousands gathering in Damascus’ main square, chanting "freedom."
