Hi everyone, in this video I wild camp in the "Mamaku" wilderness-a breathtaking and spectacular part of the Kaimai-Mamaku Range, approx 90 minutes south of Auckland, New Zealand.
This is the land that time has forgotten about...and nature has reclaimed, including the rich history of goldmining from over 100 years ago, not to mention the huge significance this land has for Maori-our indigenous people and first inhabitants of this wild and untamed land.
A multi day camp and cook through rain, wind and sunshine, follow me as i bivy camp, fish for trout and battle the land, the forest and the elements in the spectacular Waitawheta gorge and valley.
An amazing wild camp...I hope you enjoy the video...I certainly enjoyed making it.
Thanks for watching, and like and subscribe if you enjoy it...it really helps.

Also, a big thanks to Seugnet at "The Log Cabin" for helping me with a couple of logistical challenges.
