Hostile Takeover of UBISOFT | Current Leaders Fight to Stay in Power

Ubisoft is exploring options to take the gaming studio private following a string of high-profile flops that led investors to call for a change in leadership at the company.

Currently the gaming juggernaut is controlled by the Guillemot family and they understand the company pushing identity politics in their games have caused damage to their brand, but they still want to pursue it. Since Star Wars Outlaws underperformed a coalition of investors are gaining support in order to oust the current leadership at the company. This latest path being floated as coming from insiders would allow the Guillemot family to maintain control of the company, but not have to deal with investors requiring them to make games that sell.
