The Study of Psychology is not Empirical

Psychology should not be studied empirically because human thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are inherently subjective and cannot be fully captured through objective measurement or observation. Empirical methods often reduce complex mental processes to quantifiable data, oversimplifying the richness of human experience.

Additionally, the unpredictability of individual choices, free will, and unique personal contexts make it difficult to generalize findings from controlled experiments to real-life situations.

A rationalist approach, focused on reasoning and understanding universal principles of human nature, can offer more profound insights into why people act as they do.
