NW NC at The Treehouse 🌳 Post Helene recovery efforts 🛻 Truck convoys everywhere #yanceystrong

North Carolina 7 county High Country. God’s country. Everywhere you go in the 828 since Helene this is what you’ll find so prepare for delays. My 2 hour trip turned into 4, but the dogs were perfect Angels while I was gone. 15 minutes of idle time with the car off cut out. The roads and bridges are slowly getting there, but there’s still a long way to go. It’s taken an army of tradesmen from all over country moving millions of tons of rock to relay the roadbeds that collapsed before new asphalt can be applied. Most of the rock is coming from the river beds which are full of boulders now. Truly amazing. I can only equate what is happening here to the WWII war efforts I’ve read about. Truly blessed ❤️✝️
