According to the notion that the cold-blooded murderer who killed UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson may have used a contemporary model of a rare World War II spy gun, investigators are looking into a handgun transaction in Connecticut.

The gun used by the gunman in Wednesday's horrific Midtown murder seems to be a B&T VP9, which is an upgraded version of the Welrod pistol, a suppressed weapon created during World War II.

According to insider, a Connecticut-based gunmaker is being investigated upon information of a recently purchased weapon from his shop, this might provide a lead in the manhunt for the murderer who reportedly used a silenced handgun.
