1 Corinthians 4:17-21

Today Paul wraps up his warning to the Corinthians we introduced on Wednesday that he is coming to visit them, but instead of coming with a rod, he would prefer to come with gentleness. Paul mixes no words in letting them know that the call to follow Jesus, though always seen through the lens of grace, is a call to holiness and true repentance, as it is in all the churches. The Corinthians want to chart their own course, but Paul is having none of it!
