Matthew 20:28 New King James Version
28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA DEAR ONES!!!
I really found it interesting that this morning's devotional would use this passage out of Matthew 25 to explain the “Christmas spirit”, because up until I was really reading it today, I didn't see how it had to do with Christmas at all. But then I was thinking about something that Fred Scrooge, Ebenezer Scrooge’s nephew stated about Christmas, “But I am sure I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round—apart from the veneration due to its sacred name and origin, if anything belonging to it can be apart from that—as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow-passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys.” I think that's the point that Lisa Samra this morning's devotional writer, was trying to get across. That the Christmas spirit isn't about expressing a festive attitude, but a way of reminding us to reflect the spirit of Christmas that Jesus Christ modeled by coming to earth not to be served, but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many.

Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things I learned from not only this morning scripture, but other passages of scripture on what it means to have the real Christmas spirit, through this blog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you challenges, convicts, and motivates you to want to reflect the one who modeled that true spirit of Christmas, and being a servant of all. Come join me in this vlog tonight my friends, and learn just what I mean! 😊
So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with these questions from this morning's devotional, and I pray that these questions will convict, challenge, and motivate you to want to serve others, Not just over Christmas, but all year long.

How have you understood the Christmas spirit?
How might you serve others this season?

I want to challenge all of you tonight, as well as throughout this month, and even next year, to think about ways in which you could be a servant to others. Maybe you could spend time helping volunteer at a food pantry, soup kitchen, a pro-life ministry, an animal shelter, or any place where people need to be helped, and help them. If you have a gift in being a car mechanic and can help a person who can't afford it fix their car fix it! If you have a talent for being able to repair things around the home, and you know of someone that needs that help and can't afford it, help them! Whatever it is, that God is calling you to do, wherever the need may be, be willing to reflect the true spirit of Christmas that Jesus models, by being a willing servant to all!

UNTIL SATURDAY:

HAVE A BLISSFUL AND PEACEFUL EVENING IN CHRIST JESUS!!!
