SAD! Late Sylvester Oromoni Family Reveal How His Mother Died From ‘No Justice/ Broken Heart"

Some people say the “hardest part of losing a child is living every day afterwards”. If there is any truth to this, it may explain the double tragedy that recently fell on the family of late Dowen College Student Sylvester Oromoni Jr, who passed tragically in 2021. According to sources close to the family, the bereaved mother, Mrs Oromoni, sadly joined her late son at the other life on November 25 2024, leaving behind tales of yet another Nigerian who didn’t get justice in an unjust system. While there is barely any medical explanation for Mrs Oromoni’s untimely death, many believe the poor mother may have died of a broken heart.
Almost 3 years ago, social media was awash with the hashtag #JusticeForSylvester following reports that a 12-year-old student tragically passed due to bullying. Unlike many Nigerians who were filled with rage, Sylvester’s heartbroken mother was beyond devastated as she shed tears of sorrow in a video that went viral. The bereaved mother, who couldn’t get over the loss of her youngest child, promised that she would keep fighting in court until justice was served. At the time, at least ten people were arrested in connection with the late student’s demise, including five senior students who were alleged to have been involved in the bullying. Unfortunately, not only were they released, but a special court in Lagos ruled against the family in April of 2024, stating that Sylvester died of parental and medical negligence.
