Final Project: Interview on School Management and Administration

Objective:
Students will conduct a structured interview with a school administrator to explore their
leadership style, decision-making processes, and challenges in school management.
The aim is to link theoretical concepts discussed in class with practical experiences in
the field.

Instructions for Students:
1. Interviewee Selection:
o Identify a school administrator (e.g., principal, assistant principal,
department head, or school director) willing to participate in an interview.
o Ensure the administrator has at least two years of experience in school
management.

2. Preparation:
o Develop a set of 8–10 open-ended questions based on course concepts
(e.g., leadership styles, conflict resolution, resource allocation, etc.).
o Get approval for your questions from the instructor before conducting the
interview.

3. Conducting the Interview:
o Schedule the interview and confirm the details with the interviewee.
o Record the session (with permission) or take detailed notes to ensure
accurate reporting.

4. Reflection and Analysis:
o Write a report summarizing the interview. Include the following sections:

a. Introduction: Background of the interviewee and context of the
interview.
b. Key Insights: Summarize the responses and highlight notable
points.
c. Reflection: Discuss how the insights relate to theoretical
knowledge from the course.
d. Conclusion: Share your personal takeaways and how the
interview enhanced your understanding of school management.
Documentation: Include pictures and documentations at the end
of your file.

5. Presentation:
o Prepare a 5–7 minute class presentation summarizing your findings.
o Include visuals or slides if necessary.
o Record it via Zoom and upload in the BB Learn.
