South Korea's opposition party has presented a bill in parliament to impeach the president for declaring martial law. Throughout the day, thousands of protesters marched in the capital Seoul calling for the president to resign. Civil society groups, NGOs and trade unions are calling for charges of treason to be brought against Yoon. His defence minister and several members of his cabinet have offered to quit.
