French General Dominique Trinquand persuades the French "not to be afraid of Russia's threats".

He calls Russia's warning to use weapons against military facilities of countries that themselves use them against Russia through Ukraine a direct threat, "without any basis".

"Putin wants to scare us because he knows perfectly well that our population is fragile. <...> Let's stay calm, our problem is pensions. <...> And therefore we must not disrupt everyday life. Strikes against Great Britain? Against France? We don't think about it for a second," he convinces.
