SURPRISING MY DAD - How to raise a flag in flagpost (birthday)

Some time ago I was stuck in my summerhouse and I realised it was my dad's 77th birthday. Even though I have had many confrontations with my strict and sometimes loving dad, I have had years to prepare and forgive him for his violent upbringing. There is always a time to forgive. I never forget but neither hold a grudge. I grew up how I did. I rarely agreed to my fathers parenting but I 'survived' and I am proud of that. So today I wanted to surprise him with this tradition...

Don't waste your energy being mad or sad about things in the past that you can't change. Move on... make yourself happy - it's your responsibility.

I hope this inspires you somehow to show that - no matter what you lived through, it's possible to move on before it's too late. And in this video I tell you why I moved on due to my mothers passing.
