Gino Recchia NBC26 Storm Shield Weather Forecast
It was another hot summer day in Northeast Wisconsin with a lot of sunshine to start off but some areas did get some free air conditioning from Mother Nature. A heat advisory remains in effect for Marquette and Green lake Counties until 8 PM this evening. Showers and thunderstorms have fired up ahead of an additional line of storms coming in from the west. This line of storms is weakening but we have to monitor the ongoing pop up showers and storms over our area. Some of them could produce small hail and gusty winds. The risk of severe weather does remain low at this time. The latest data suggests that we will luck out with the fireworks tonight. It will be wet in some areas from the thunderstorms. However, once the sun sets, we are expecting the showers and storms to end. Temperatures will be in the lower to mid 70s during the firework events. Overnight low temperatures will be from the upper 60s to the lower 70s with light winds out of the south at 5 to 10 mph.
