LETTER TO UNSOLICITED ADVICE

I BELIEVE SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG WITH YOUTUBE
WHEN THE FOLLOWING REPLY TO GRIGORICROSS'S COMMENT
WAS CENSORED BY STRUCTURE DUE TO KEYWORDS
BY A ROBOT, THE SECOND IT WAS POSTED,
BEFORE ANYONE COULD READ IT.

I HAVE TRACKED MANY OF MY YOUTUBE COMMENTS,
THEY ARE ALL LOST IN A BLACK HOLE.
ESSENTIALLY EVERYTHING I WRITE, ESPECIALLY IF IT IS LONG FORM,
IS AUTOMATICALLY SWEPT UP,
AND DESTROYED BEFORE IT CAN BE SEEN BY ANYONE,
THE SECOND IT IS POSTED, WITHOUT BEING READ BY ANYONE.

WINSTON WHERE IS MY MEMORY HOLE?

I FIND THIS NEW TREND, HEADED BY TECH GIANTS LIKE GOOGLE
TO BE EXTREMELY DISTURBING, IT DOES NOT BODE WELL FOR ANY FUTURE
WE MIGHT BE GOING INTO, UNLESS YOU ARE ROOTING FOR A REAL LIFE
RE-ENACTMENT OF GEORGE ORWELL'S 1984.

ANYWAY, HERE IS MY COMMENT TO GRIGORICROSS
I HOPE NOW THAT IT HAS BEEN SAVED AND EMAILED TO YOU,
THAT YOU MIGHT BE WILLING TO READ IT NOW THAT SOMEONE ELSE
HASN'T MADE THE DECISION FOR YOU THAT YOU CAN'T.

[i'll also include this book of censored comments and writings
i've assembled over the last few days]

I REALLY DON'T THINK THERE'S ANYTHING OFFENSIVE ABOUT MY NIETZSCHE COMMENT,
IT IS A THOUGHTFUL EXAMINATION OF HIS PHILOSOPHY, AND LITERALLY NOTHING BAD
WAS SAID IN IT, I LITERALLY CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT THE ROBOT WAS OBJECTING TO.

It’s very likely this will get lost in the sea of comments, but:

It’s pretty much an instant click if I see a video on Nietzsche. He’s probably the thinker I cherish most, and I think you tend to offer the interpretation I have found best and most fleshed-out. You give him all the nuance he deserves and I would even argue I’m sad I didn’t get to see you presenting while I was attending the Nietzsche seminar at UC Berkeley.
It’s especially fun when I can anticipate to which words you’ll be going. I came close to crying when you mentioned the “stern father figure.”

I love your content and I so appreciate what you’re doing with this channel. Here’s to your ever-growing power!

MY REPLY:

I'm glad Nietzsche brought some happiness and meaning to your life, if that passage moved you to tears,
that's usually a good thing. I hope your studies go well.

I read Nietzsche a lot when I was a teenager, around 14 - 18, I read him constantly, and absorbed everything I could find,
I felt and still feel a kinship with him.

I'm going on 40 now,
I've become somewhat disillusioned with Nietzsche.
If you pressed me on the topic, I think I still do not believe God is real, thought I want to, and I'm far from sure, I'm very conflicted on the topic,
But regardless, I have developed an appreciation for the bible as a work of literature, it rapidly becomes clear to me, that to hate the bible
and hold a bigoted attitude towards the bible and christians, is really a very ignorant perspective, and at worst they're standing before the creator
of the universe saying these ridiculous things, and best, they're the anti-shakespeare club, who profoundly hate a work of literature, and anyone who reads it,
because it is violent, sexist, scary etc......

It is a profoundly ignorant and depressing persepective,
It is the ideology of book burners, modern cultural critics censoring everything to push their repugnant values down an increasingly unreceptive public,
to take away their works of art, and stop other people from enjoying them as well.

I do not hold this against Nietzsche, exactly,
I can understand based on the society he was living in,
why he might hate christians, as the crushing authoritarians of the day primarily obstructing
his never realized attempts to gain a recognition for his work.
They were the bullies and fools that were making his life a misery,
I understand that.

But we have had a transvalution of values in the last 150 years,
The values Nietzsche espoused, for the most part, grew massive like wildfires,
took ideological posession of large swaths of our society, and firmly entrenched
the atheist, and free thinking perspective, that has grown so profoundly a part
of our society, embeded in the foundation of our modern world as a titan.

But things change,
These views, this worldview he brought with him,
Have had a long time to grow entrenched and fat as well,
They are high on their own pomp,
and have spawned offshoots which are genuinely repellent,
which infest our culture,
and have made themselves extremely unwelcome in this neo world
being build on the foundation of the new one.

Today Christian morality,
Appears as a medicine to innoculate yourself from the
tyranny of modern ideologues, fascist CEO's and censors,
who make the world such a misery.

The call us back to community with our neighbors, family, and friends,
They give hope to people who are suffering under these entranched and fat
modern ideas, feasting so powerfully on the people's bar tab.

In my own life, after getting out of my teen years, I went from one
intollerably horrible home to another, never anything remotely tolerable
or liveable, for the vast majority of my life.

Ultimately, I was rescued from this by an old woman, a christian woman,
who has given me a very respectable home, renting a room in a house,
a big room, very clean and pleasant with all of my devices and computer equipment,
and a bookcase containing about 55 of my banned AMAZON books which were censored
all at once, on a bad day with amazon, and can no longer be purchased by anyone,
in true fascist fashion, I am also banned by barnes and noble, so I am
literally forcibly prevented from being a writer, the medium is just excluded to me,
by these modern grendels.

There is a balcony in my room, where i can smoke,
there's a second room where I can cook food in a modest kitchen of my own,
and i share only a bathroom with other residents in the house.
This has allowed me to pursue my other artistic activities,
my game design, which i hope might bear fruit without getting crushed as offensive to grendel.

Julia is a very kind woman, who has treated me with nothing but kindness, consideration,
and respect, and seems to genuinely care about me.

“I call an animal, a species, an individual corrupt, when it loses its instincts, when it chooses, when it prefers, what is harmful to it.”

Nietzsche, The Antichrist

This talk of, morality of the strong, who cares about the will of the weak, slave morality, etc, etc,
By the above criteria I feel nietzsches ideas are riddled with said corruption,
It was his ruthless athiest new age world, that threw me around like trash in the wind for 20 years,
ultimately it was Christianity, the followers of Christ, which saved me.

A focus on community, loving others, kindness, goodness, as it were,
It is better for a man to have these things in his life,
as they result in pleasant and good things for a man,
if nero wants to dance on our corpses while he makes his best manifesto in the world ever,
his ideology of the strong, most people are not that man at the top,
Nietzsche, you were not that man on top.

He preferred for himself an attitude of separation from the world, hating the world,
he saw with suspicion this talk of family and love and kindness for all,
these things could have benefited him, he was lonely most of his life,
lacking love, of friends, of family, of society and the world,
He got a taste for what was harmful to him,
and say what you will of the man,
His life was a disaster.

I feel he was very noble,
I still feel a kinship with him,
I wish in his last days he had been holding hands
with his lover, or his family, instead of rotting away in an asylum.

Regardless,
in modern society, Christian and Other, no longer have the meaning they did to nietzsche,
their values have flipped. The things we once thought evil have proven themselves the most sound and justified themselves,
The things we once thought good have betrayed us.

I still wonder if there is a god,
and if not, the idea of a god is enough.

"mother, I am dumb"
-Nietzsche
