If you have been with us for a while, then you are probably familiar with our love for interspecies friendships. Seeing two individuals of different species work and live together, while your entire existence you have been taught they should be enemies, really strikes a chord. If these two animals can make it work, knowing they do not share a common language, then why can’t we?

You might be familiar with the video of the sleepy and very patient cat that gets swarmed by a litter of puppies. This mama cat has all the patience in the world as she is literally hounded by a giant litter of energetic puppies! This is the purrfect mood boost that you've been looking for all day long! Get ready for some serious cuteness! They literally climb all over her, biting and pulling her ears and baby-barking in her face. Yet the feline does nothing. This has got to be the most patient cat of all time.

We see your cat and puppies and we raise you a trio worthy of a cartoon series! Of course, there are a whole lot of other animals out there who have learned to put their own differences aside and forge a tight bond between each other. But when we saw these three having a casual sniff-off on a chair, we knew that anyone can be friends with anyone.

Any self-respecting Beagle wouldn’t be allowed to be caught sniffing the butt of any toyger, but this fella decided to hell with stereotypes and he made friends with one such cat. On the other hand, no tom would be caught dead sharing the same airspace with a rat, white or otherwise, but this guy also decided that these cliches need to be laid to rest once and for all! Not once did the mouse run away from the cat, or the cat get scared by the mighty Beagle! They just sat there, sniffing each other’s butts and getting to know each other. Because what better way to bond than to find out what the others had for lunch today. Maybe they have the same taste in kibble?

This is all very cute and sweet, but let’s be honest here for a moment. These cases only confirm the rule. Cats do not get get along with dogs and that is final!

While most dogs will probably show a genuine interest into a tiny, fluffy kitty with no real idea of the outside world, when it comes to an older cat meeting a bunch of nosy, energetic, eager pups, thing do not go so peachy. We give you, exhibit A:

What we think we see here is an adolescent cat that has had it with dogs. Now, these really are tiny and the one thing on their mind is play, play, play, all day! They do not want to tackle the cat to the ground and drown it is slobber. But the feline wants nothing to do with the lot of them. So she tries to escape and very poorly at that.

How can one escape a pack of play-hungry puppies? You can be biggest, burliest, baddest-looking dude on the face of this green planet. When a pack of puppies comes at you, you fall victim to their cuteness and tenacity. There is no escape!
