Riley Walz, the mastermind behind scraping Citibike data every minute, used this real-time tracking to uncover where the UnitedHealthcare CEO's Brian Thompson suspected killer may have fled this morning.
By analyzing Citibike movements, he discovered that the only northbound bike leaving a dock near the hotel within 10 minutes of the shooting was traced to the Upper East Side. The assailant has still not been found, despite all this data.
