Samantha Was Just 8 When Her Uncle Shattered Her Innocence

Samantha Conn was brutally raped by uncle when she was just 8 years old. Her Aunt didn’t know he was a Monster.

She was only 7 and didn’t know what to say or how to say it. It kept happening in the middle of the nights, she would pretend to be asleep – but he would wake her up and he would fondle her.

When she was 8, he came in and took her virginity.

Samantha said “It hurt so much.”

She told her friend on the school bus and the girl she told stands up on the bus and tells everybody what she said. No one did anything. They thought it was a joke. The bus driver did nothing. This was back in the 90’s.

She lived in a small town and everyone knew each other.

She was taken to a house by a friend, given a drink by her friend and she didn’t remember anything. She was once again brutally raped, but this time she was gang raped.

She was hurting so bad that she couldn’t sit down.

She was 17 at this time and she had to go to school that morning she woke up.

She went to the nurses office and the nurse saw blood and knew she had been raped. The nurse called the police and it was very embarrassing for her as the school was small and the police were about as unprofessional as could be as the “detective” wanted to know what happened and wanted her to tell him in front of all the people.

She had to have a rape test, they had 10 sets of DNA, they had brutally sodomized Samantha.

The police didn’t help her because she had the label of a slut, which was not true.

Samantha discusses how these experiences helped her discover her inner strength and the power of overcoming adversity.
