Has God Forsaken the Narcissist? Inside the Depravity of Wicked Demons

God honors free will and he wouldn't be an all-loving God if he forced people to love him. Love is patient, love is kind, its not going to force anybody to do what they don't want to do. But God has given the narcissist many chances and many opportunities to accept allow His Holy Spirit to lead them in the right direction. But in their blind pride, foolishness, and wickedness, they reject God so he rejects them forever, beyond hopes of salvation. They choose to worship idols, creature, humans, themselves, enacting a full-on rebellion against God. God removes His safety net from their life, he withdraws his Spirit from ever influencing them, from ever moving in their life again, He no longer attempts to lead them to the truth, no longer draws them to Him, he no longer protects their conscience from being giving over to evil, no longer has His angels protecting them, He gives them over to their lawlessness completely. God is completely done with the narcissist and He has turned away His face from them forever.

What's the result of God having given them over? They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed, and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant, and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do these things deserve death, they not only continue to do these things, but also approve of others who practice them (Romans 1:19-32). In the outworking of the depravity of the human heart, the contrast become light and darkness becomes more apparent. This is the verdict: That light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. As the narcissist, from the beginning, refused to keep God in their knowledge, they committed crimes against reason and against their own welfare, and God gave up on them.

God allowed the Israelites who rebelled to reap the natural consequences of their choices. "But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me. So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices" (Psalm 81:11-12). In Romans 1, Paul shows us how the wicked made a choice to reject God, and that choice sent them on a downward spiral of increasing darkness and decreasing hope. As the godless run farther and farther from God, God intervenes less and less. The Spirit's conviction & restraint of our sin is a blessing, and if that restraint is removed, all wickedness follows. And this is the raw, blunt, unadulterated truth about the narcissist and their fate. They are an abomination, a desecration to all mankind, fully possessed by demons to do Satan's work. And nothing is ever going to change that.
