11 Children Found Working Dangerous Night Shifts at Iowa Pork Plant

Qvest LLC was fined nearly $172,000 after federal authorities discovered 11 children working dangerous night shifts at Seaboard Triumph Foods pork factory in Iowa. The children were using corrosive cleaners on hazardous equipment. This is the second violation at the same facility. Qvest must pay the fine and implement measures to prevent child labor. The U.S. Department of Labor is actively addressing child labor violations nationwide.
