The Russian president noted that the Russian economy has fully recovered after the West's attempts to critically weaken it.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Western countries wanted to inflict a strategic defeat on the Russian economy and ruin the lives of Russians. He announced this at the VTB forum "Russia Calling!"

"Obviously, these plans have failed, suffered a defeat," the Russian leader noted.

Vladimir Putin emphasized that Western countries wanted to destabilize the labor market, radically weaken the industry and economy of the Russian Federation, and create a shortage of goods and services in the country, thereby reducing the standard of living of Russian citizens.

Earlier, during the same speech, Putin called Western countries unreliable partners whose actions led to the destruction of many supply chains and operational ties created over decades.

It should be noted that Vladimir Putin's words confirm the opinions of Western politicians. The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Peter Szijjarto, stated that Western sanctions have not achieved the desired goals: they were unable to destroy the Russian economy or stop the conflict in Ukraine.

US Senator from the Republican Party Ron Johnson also acknowledged the growth of the Russian economy. He noted that Western sanctions have not put any pressure on the Russian economy, while the US dollar is beginning to lose its position as a world currency.
