SEED OF DESTINY WRITTEN BY THE SENIOR PASTOR OF DUNAMIS INTERNATIONAL GOSPEL CENTRE, DR PASTOR PAUL ENENCHE.

WEDNESDAY 4TH DECEMBER 2024.

Our TOPIC: GOING UP BY GODLY CHARACTER.

Today's SCRIPTURE: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
Daniel 1 verse 8. Amen!

Our THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: One of the ways through which God elevates His people is godly character.

The will of God is to elevate His children to positions of influence and authority in their generation (Matthew chapter 5 verse 14 to 16). Hallelujah!

This means, God is raising out of you, a "Joseph generation," a "Daniel generation," an "Esther generation," to take critical positions of authority and influence and impact the nations of the world, governments, and organizations positively.

And one of the ways through which God elevates His people is godly character.

There is a character that attracts and a character that repels. There is a character that draws people to a person, and there is a character that drives people and opportunities away. There is a character that opens doors and there is a character that closes them. There is a character that makes others interested in a person, and there is a character that causes them to lose interest in a person. There is a character that multiplies opportunities and there is a character that diminishes opportunities. There is a character that increases favour and there is a character that drives away favour.

I believe that one of the greatest factors determining a person’s life and destiny is character. There comes a time in a person's life when the challenges they face are no longer about external forces like witches and wizards, but about character. A person may have the right credentials and qualifications but lacks the right character. Success may remain a mirage in the life and destiny of such a person.

Beloved, make up your mind to deploy the force of godly character and let God raise you to the top places of life.

Remember this: One of the ways through which God elevates His people is godly character.

Take this ASSIGNMENT with you:
#1. Make up your mind to have a character that sets you apart and on top in your generation.

#2. Be consistent in your exhibition of godly character. Yes sir!

Our PRAYER today: Father, I ask that You make me outstanding for Your kingdom in my generation by the force of godly character, Lord in Jesus Name. Amen!

QUOTE: God cannot do Anything serious with someone whose character is out of order.

Today's Bible DAILY READING: from the book of Philippians chapter 3 to the book of Colossians chapter 1.

We start with Philippians chapter 3, Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you indeed is not grievous to me, but it is a safeguard for you. Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the Concision. For we are the Circumcision who worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh— though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath grounds to trust in the flesh, I have more: circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; according to the law, a Pharisee; concerning zeal, persecuting the church; as to the righteousness before the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, those I counted as loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things and count them but dung, that I may win Christ and be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith, that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death, that if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. It is not as though I had already attained it, nor were already perfect; but I follow after, that I may apprehend that for which Christ Jesus also apprehended me. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended it, but this one thing I do: forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as would be perfect, be thus minded; and if in anything ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Nevertheless, however much we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark those who so walk, as ye have us for an example. (For many walk, of whom I have told you often and now tell you even with weeping, as the enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction, their God is their belly, and their glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) For our abiding is in Heaven, from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself. Hallelujah!

Philippians chapter 4, Therefore, my dearly beloved and longed for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. I beseech Euodias and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. And I entreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women who labored with me in the Gospel, with Clement also and with my other fellow laborers, whose names are in the Book of Life. Let your moderation be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say, “Rejoice!” Fret not about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things which ye have both learned and received and heard and seen in me, do; and the God of peace shall be with you. But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me hath flourished again; though ye always cared, ye lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in respect to want, for I have learned in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me. Notwithstanding, ye have done well that ye participated in my affliction. Now ye Philippians know also that in the beginning of the Gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. For even in Thessalonica, ye sent time and again unto my needs. Not that I desire a gift, but I desire the fruit that may abound to your account. But I have all, and abound; I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, a sweet fragrance, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God. But my God shall supply all your need, according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me greet you. All the saints salute you, chiefly those who are of Caesar’s household. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Colossians chapter 1, Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ, who are at Colossae: Grace be unto you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love which ye have for all the saints, for the hope which is laid up for you in Heaven, of which ye heard before in the word of the truth of the Gospel, which has come unto you, as it has in all the world, and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you since the day ye heard of it and knew the grace of God in truth. Ye also learned of it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ, For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit. that ye might walk worthy of the Lord, in all pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might according to His glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; giving thanks unto the Father, who hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. He hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son, in whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. For by Him were all things created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers: all things were created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell, and having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself — by Him, I say, whether they be things on earth or things in heaven. And you, who were once alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, even now hath He reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and unblamable and unreprovable in His sight, if ye continue grounded and settled in the faith, and be not moved away from the hope of the Gospel, which ye have heard and which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, am made a minister. I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh, for His body’s sake, which is the church, of which I am made a minister according to the dispensation of God, which is given to me for you, to fulfill the Word of God— even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints. To them God would make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus, for which I also labor, striving according to His working, which worketh in me mightily. Hallelujah!
