President Joe Biden issued a broad and rare pardon for his son, Hunter Biden, covering any federal crimes committed between January 1, 2014, and the end of 2024.

Legal experts compared it to Gerald Ford’s pardon of Richard Nixon, calling it unprecedented in its wide scope.

The pardon shields Hunter from future federal charges, including potential violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) and other crimes during the specified period.

This move is considered unusual, especially since Hunter Biden has not been convicted of all the alleged offenses.

Legal experts also raised questions about whether the pardon was made in consultation with the Justice Department, USA Today has reported.
