Jan. 24, 1965 - On Britain’s Independent Television News today, Lord Mountbatten spoke on the passing of Winston Churchill, who died today at the age of 90. Mountbatten recalled first meeting Churchill as a young Navy cadet, when Churchill was First Lord of the Admiralty, and reflected on Churchill’s leadership during World War II.
