‘Lost his mind’: Expert weighs in on South Korean President's ‘unfathomable' decision

Australian National University Professor Kyung Moon Hwang discusses the sudden declaration and subsequent lifting of martial law in South Korea by President Yoon Suk Yeol, causing political chaos.

Mr Hwang suggests that the President's actions were “unfathomable” and likely a result of him “losing his mind”.

“I think most people have determined that he has done something just unfathomable, and, I think, he has simply lost his mind. The question is how he lost his mind and why he lost his mind. And there probably are a lot of factors that went into this decision by him,” Mr Hwang told Sky News
