Taiji - Japan, December 1. 2024:
It was sunny and almost windless. The waves were 1.5 meters high, but the sea looked calm. Immediately after leaving the harbor at 6:26am, the hunters headed out to sea, talking loudly over the radio about something. Just 25 minutes later, FORMATION was confirmed. It seems that other fishermen have just tipped the hunters off the location of the pod on the radio.
According to Kunito, the first pod was a large one of more than 100. Then, they were divided several times, and more than 22 (may be close to 30) were driven into cove. They were Melon-headed whales, including at least one juvenile. As in most cases in this species, all ones were brutality killed.
It was confirmed that a total of 22 dead bodies were divided into 3 skiffs and carried to the slaughterhouse at the harbor. However, there is one skiff with an unknown number of bodies because it was hidden behind trees, which means that more than 22 whales were driven into the cove today.
Taiji dolphin hunters claim that they break up and reduce the size of the original large pod and then drive them into the cove. However it seems that this is only in the case of the species that they kill the whole that drove into. Because if they kill too many per day for food, it could lower the price-per-product, and if they found Bottlenose dolphins for captives, they will try to drive more and more into the cove.
Under the tarp of the Cove, the harrowing sound of the whales tail slapping the surface of the water violently as they suffered was echoing through the air.
Kunito’s Livestream from the cove makes it clear just how cruel the inhumane killing method is, which Taiji authorities lie about as being almost instantaneous.
The dolphins at the aquariums and dolphin show facilities are by no means rescued dolphins.
How they were brought there and how many lives are being sacrificed behind that “dolphin sales business” should be known to Japanese people.
Because this tragedy is happening in our country Japan.
