Elkhorn Slough Electric Catamaran - Otters, Sea Lions, and Pelicans!

Elkhorn Slough is a precious coastal wetland area in California. Located off Monterey Bay, it's home to:
1) The largest concentration of Sea Otters in California
2) Harbor Seals & Sea Lions
3) Over 340 bird species including Brown Pelican, Snowy Plover, California Least Tern, Great Egret, and Great Blue Heron

We took a tour of the slough in a unique electric catamaran which made a very quiet and pleasant journey. The tour company we booked with (Monterey Bay EcoTours) provides a naturalist on board who was very good at explaining the ecology of the slough and answering all our questions.

It's a very cool region of California to visit. Highly recommended!
