However, disguised as Tiger, Rabbit manages to escape, leading Tiger into a trap by instructing him to dig a hole to hear the world below, which results in Tiger getting beaten.

As Tiger becomes embroiled in trouble, he encounters Rabbit again, who cleverly disguises himself as a dog, feigning innocence. Despite Tiger's desire to confront Rabbit, he hesitates due to the warnings he's received from other animals about Rabbit's tricks. Instead, he feigns friendship and offers to share a drink, only for Rabbit to mock his naivety and remind him of the threat posed earlier.

In a variant of the tale, another character, Saiyen, attempts to steal bread from a garden by imitating Rabbit's tactics, only to get stuck as well. The garden owner discovers him and decides to teach Saiyen a lesson, leading to his own entrapment. In an ironic twist, Tiger encounters Saiyen and, feeling sympathy for him, unties Saiyen but ends up tied in his place. When the garden owner returns with a hot iron, he inadvertently causes Tiger to flee in pain, while Saiyen mocks him from the safety of a tree.
