France: PM Michel Bernier's Government Faces No-Confidence-Motion As Political Instability Looms

France: Prime Minister Michel Barnier's government is likely headed to collapse later this week after far-right and left-wing parties submitted no-confidence motions on December 1. The no confidence motions came in response to Prime Minister Barnier's decision to push through a budget move without a parliamentary vote. "The French have had enough," National Rally (RN) leader Marine Le Pen told reporters in parliament, saying Barnier, who only became prime minister in early September, needed to be pushed out of power. "We are proposing a motion of no confidence against the government," she said. PM Barnier's coalition could be the first French government to be forced out by a no-confidence vote since 1962.
