Next to visit us here in the Milsurp Garage is the Remington Model 760 Gamemaster. No, it isn’t a Dungeons and Dragons title.....it’s a pump action centerfire rifle from 1952 chambered for the mighty .30-06 Springfield cartridge. Being that these were manufactured from 1952 through 1981, the example you see here is a very early production model that shows how they were equipped when they were introduced before any of the many changes that took place through their history.

These replaced the Petersen 1913 designed Remington Model 14 (or 141) and with over a million made, these were certainly popular.....but were they worthy of their lineage? So much is written on these, how about we examine it closely and see how it does?

Also in this video at the 1:15:50 mark is a function test of the Harrington & Richardson Topper Model 158 equipped with the .30-30 barrel as we were waiting for a visit to the rifle range…..enjoy!
