The GAP Band hit song "You dropped on bomb on me" from 1982, it's actually based on a very sinister real life event from 1921 called the Tulsa Race riot.

And this connection is never talked about anywhere. You can research Tulsa Race Riot for as long as you want and The GAP Band or their song will never come up. So here's the deal, in 1921, Tulsa Oklahoma was home to thee most successful black community in America, Often referred to to as Black wall street or Little Africa and on June 1st 1921, a KKK led riot took place in the Greenwood district where black wall street was located, leaving about 300 dead and over 800 injured. Black Wall Street was located in the Greenwood district of Tulsa Oklahoma where we find the streets, Greenwood, Archer and Pine.
