Pakistan’s Naval Expansion Backed by China: India Responds | Vantage with Palki Sharma

Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Tripathi has criticised Pakistan’s ambitious plan to become a 50-ship naval force within the next decade, accusing Islamabad of prioritising "weapons over people’s welfare." Pakistan’s expansion, largely supported by China, includes 20 major warships, Hangor-class submarines, and indigenous Jinnah-class frigates. Admiral Tripathi emphasised India’s preparedness to monitor and counter any threats in the Indian Ocean region. He also highlighted China's strategic interest in strengthening the Pakistan Navy.
