GMRS & HAM Radio CTCSS Tones Can Be Dangerous!

Why you should never (usually) enable or use Privacy Tones, CTCSS, DTC, or other tones or codes when using your GMRS or HAM radio. I explain why using codes or tones on your two-way radio limits what you hear, and could put someone's life in danger! This applies to all brands of radios (Baofeng, TidRadio, icom, Motorola, Midland, etc) and both HAM radio/amateur radio and GMRS radios, but mostly when using your radio in places where emergencies could occur or where you might expect to hear emergency radio communications - Using CTCSS or other privacy tones or codes at home for example, is probably not a problem while playing with your walkie-talkie radios.
