Georgia Pioneers features county records in GA, KY, NC, SC, TN, VA and some records in AL & FL

The early settlers migrated from Ireland, Scotland, and Germany to Pennsylvania. But they did not remain in PA. Instead, they left in large groups to VA, NC, SC, GA and TN. The route taken was an old buffalo trail, and later a wagon road to far western Virginia.

The best way to find your ancestor is to search THAT TRAIL. You can easily do it because the oldest records found on Georgia pioneers include the county records, such as wills, estates, and marriages for those states I mentioned. Also, where applicable, bible records, obituaries, tax digests, land records, military records, and published books and genealogies are included.

The wagon trail's route is taken in this order: PA—VA—NC—SC—GA, and, lastly, TN.
