There was a sparrow, cheeky and small,
With feathers so bright, he’d giggle and call.
He loved to play tricks, it’s what he’d do,
But his friends would laugh and say, “Oh, you!”

He’d hide a nut, then point away,
“Look over there!” he’d chirp and say.
His squirrel friend found it funny—well, at first—
But the jokes kept coming, and it got worse!

He swapped the robin’s twig for hay,
And the robin chirped, “Hey, that’s not okay!”
He perched by the pond, made a loud “Splash!”
Poor Mr. Frog jumped off in a flash!

One day he tricked the big gray dove,
Who said, “Little sparrow, what you need is love.
Play your tricks, but don’t forget,
Good friends are a treasure, not a prank to regret.”

And all his friends came back to play.

He learned to mix his jokes with care,
Now his friends all cheer, “We love you, fair and square!”
