Embracing the New: A Call to Action in December

Amen and amen. Good morning, everyone! As we step into December, a month that often brings reflection and anticipation, I felt a resounding message from the Lord echoing through my heart: "Listen. Forget about all that. It's nothing compared to what I'm about to do." This declaration is not merely a statement; it is a profound invitation to shift our focus from the chaos around us to the divine possibilities that lie ahead.

This past weekend, I received numerous emails filled with concerns over various global events—things happening in Calgary, Toronto, the United States, and even Israel. The news cycles can be overwhelming, and many are understandably agitated. But God says, "Just cut it out. Shh. I'm doing a new thing. Don't you perceive it?" We are in an hour where staying on our knees and seeking His plans is essential.

The Call for Engagement

As we enter this new month, the Lord is urging us to engage actively. Yes, there are challenges—postal strikes, technological disruptions, and a myriad of issues that can cause anxiety—but amidst this, He calls us to rise up and write decrees. We must take scriptural references and stand firm in our faith.

God is not asking for a passive witness; He is looking for us to step into our authority. We've been in training for a significant time, and now it's time to act. When we see issues that concern us, it's not just about sending emails or expressing frustration; it's about taking action, speaking truth, and declaring His will over our circumstances.

Worship as a Weapon

As we gather today, let's remember the power of worship. The psalmist reminds us to bless the Lord, regardless of what we hear in the news. "Bless the Lord, oh my soul." This is our declaration of faith. He inhabits the praises of His people, and when we praise Him, we draw His presence near. Our emotional pleas won't move Him, but our faith and worship will.

We serve a mighty God, clothed with splendor and majesty. He is the creator of all, and nothing can stand before Him. So, why do we let ourselves be shaken by the things happening in our world? The answer lies in understanding who He is and the authority we carry as His children.

Understanding Our Authority

As we reflect on the state of our nations, we must remember that God has not given up on us. The enemy may seem powerful, but the One who sits in the heavens laughs at their schemes. We are called to stand firm, equipped with the armor of God, ready to confront the spiritual forces at play in our world.

It is vital to recognize that the battle we face is not against flesh and blood but against the powers of darkness. Therefore, we must put on the full armor of God to withstand the schemes of the enemy. Ephesians 6 reminds us to stand firm with truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God as our sword.

A New Thing is Coming

As we move forward, let’s embrace the promise of a new thing. The Word has declared, "Forget all of that. It's nothing compared to what I'm about to do." This is not just a prophetic statement; it is a call to action. We are on the brink of a significant shift, and we must be ready to participate in what God is orchestrating.

He promises to create pathways through the wilderness and rivers in dry wastelands. This imagery is powerful—it speaks of His ability to bring forth life and hope in seemingly impossible situations. He is inviting us to be part of this renewal, to be refreshed and equipped for the work ahead.

Conclusion: The Charge to Stand Firm

As we conclude this gathering, let us remember that we are in a pivotal moment where our voices matter. We are called to be active participants in the transformation of our communities and nations. Let us not shrink back in fear but rise up in faith, ready to declare His truth and righteousness.

Let us pray for our leaders, for those standing for righteousness, and for the courage to engage in the battles we face. As we move forward into December and beyond, let us carry the light of Christ into every dark place, confident that the best is yet to come.

God bless you all. Let’s continue to stand firm in faith and watch as He unfolds His plans before us. Amen.
