Labour Party Adviser Shaneel Lal on NZ Blood Supplies

The Labour Party adviser Shaneel Lal recently pontificated on New Zealand's precious supply of blood.

"we are trying to, you know, strike a balance between recognising people's human rights and ensuring that the blood that has been donated is safe."

Uncontaminated blood supplies for the general population on one hand, Mr Lal's interpretation of "human rights" for the rainbow community on the other.

Where does the balance lie? The Labour party's Shaneel Lal will, almost certainly, get to decide.
