Notre-Dame Choir Returns: Historic Performance Awaits Cathedral's Reopening

Singers from Notre-Dame's iconic choir school are preparing for a historic performance as the cathedral reopens to the public in early December. Four years after the devastating 2019 fire, the Gothic masterpiece is set to welcome its choir for a ceremonial performance on December 7 and an inaugural mass on December 8. School director Henri Chalet said that choir felt lost without their spiritual home. With 150 students, aged 5 to 28, the 850-year-old choir school is ready to fill Notre-Dame with their carols once again. The scheduled choir performance is set to mark a major milestone in Notre-Dame's restoration journey.
