Georgia: Protests Grip Tbilisi As Government Suspends EU Accession Talks | Subscribe to Firstpost

In Georgia, protesters gathered across Tbilisi on November 30 in a third straight night of demonstrations against the government’s decision to halt negotiations to join the European Union. Police dispersed the Pro-EU protesters' rally in front of the parliament as demonstrators launched fireworks towards law enforcement personnel. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Kobakhidze suggested foreign influence in the ongoing demonstrations. Protests erupted in Georgia days after the October 26 parliamentary election in which pro-Russia Georgian Dream Party emerged victorious. However, opposition parties alleged vote-rigging in the election.
